AFILAO - "Macizo"
AFILAO is a Cuban-Jazz band based in Montreal, Canada.
Its novel, vigorous and angular sound is rooted in a progressive approach to
Timba’s agressive, syncopated and acerbic tumbaos (riffs), bloques (punches) and mambos (ostinati).
The band launched at the 2016 Montreal International Jazz Festival and released its EP "Macizo" in December 2017.
